Future Ready Leaders Initiative with British High Commission
Future Ready Leaders Initiative with British High Commission
Mentors and mentees gathered at the Residence for a relaxed afternoon of reflection, conversation, and connection. It was a chance to acknowledge what was gained from the Future Ready Leaders experience and to mark its close in a thoughtful way. The event also acknowledged the work behind the programme and the strength of the community that supported it throughout.
I was pleased to take part as a mentor alongside a diverse group of amazing professionals, including:
- Alexandra McKenzie, British High Commissioner
- Yang Berhormat Queenie Chong, Member of the Legislative Council of Brunei
- Dr Joyce Teo, Assistant Vice Chancellor and Vice President (Global Engagement), UBD
- Zainab M A Omar, President, Human Resource Society Brunei
- Aimi Ramlee, Co-Founder and Director of Digital Innovation and Growth, Tyne Solutions
- Nur Raihan Rosli, Acting Deputy CEO, Brunei Fertiliser Industries
- Farhana Pura, Creative Director, Na Forré
I had the chance to work with my allocated mentee, Sara Ng, a student at Jerudong International School, and appreciated the chance to exchange ideas and perspectives.
Thank you to the British High Commission for putting together a well-considered and purposeful programme. It was encouraging to see such a range of professionals involved and to take part in something that created space for meaningful conversations across generations.
