What a memorable evening at the Women of the Future reception in Brunei! Hosted at the British High Commission Residence, the event brought together an inspiring group of women to celebrate Brunei’s remarkable change-makers. This included this year’s shortlisted nominees for the Women of the Future Awards; Sally Hazman (Arts & Culture), Sarinah Ziziumiza (Science, Tecnology & Digital), and Basma Lachkar (Sport). Their stories and achievements are truly motivating and a testament to the incredible potential within our community.

The Women of the Future Awards celebrate young women leaders from across Southeast Asia who are driving change and breaking barriers in their fields. Open to women aged 35 or under, the awards recognise citizens or permanent residents from 11 qualifying countries in the region. The winners will be announced on November 27th, 2024, following informal virtual interviews with the judging panel. Good luck to this year’s awards, we are rooting for you and proud to see you represent Brunei!
