About Noor

Noor helps preserve and restore sight as a consultant eye surgeon in Brunei. She is the deputy head of ophthalmology and is involved in medical education, resource planning and health promotion.

During her training at the Singapore National Eye Centre, Noor underwent a personal development journey where she discovered a renewed passion for learning and sharing ideas. She has since spoken at schools and organisations, combining passion, humour, and authentic storytelling to inspire others to dream big and reach their potential.

To help realise the talents of young people in Brunei, she founded You Can Lead BN in 2019. This free online platform shares a range of opportunities for growth and professional development from around the world.

In 2020, Noor was selected to join the Equity Initiative, an exciting program to nurture and facilitate the development of a new generation of health equity leaders in Southeast Asia. The initiative forms part of the global Atlantic Fellows, empowering emerging leaders to advance fairer, healthier and more inclusive societies.

As part of the Equity Initiative, Noor seeks to promote and improve health equity in Southeast Asia, particularly among the most vulnerable populations.

In 2019, Noor was selected as a finalist for the Women of the Future Awards S.E.A, for ‘Community Spirits and Public Service’
